February/March 2018 Prayer Letter

By November 7, 2017Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer Warriors,
It’s only been a few weeks since our annual Week of Prayer which took place January 8-13. During those six days of fervent prayer, we had people in the TFC building praying 24/7. It has been really exciting to see how God moved and continues to move in individual lives. We’ve seen some really special breakthroughs for our staff, and we know that has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with the power of prayer.

As we move into a new year, we have some exciting news for you. We are in the process of moving to a new building that God has provided for us. While we have been grateful and so blessed to use our current building for the last 15 years, it became necessary for us to move. God miraculously opened doors to provide a building that will suit the needs of our staff and YMI programs. It is in a great location at 2701 Allentown Road.

While we are very excited about our move and praise God for His provision to us, we have some busy months ahead. We covet your prayers as we settle our offices, staff and YMI students into a new place while still preparing for Converge 2018, and running our weekly chapter meetings.

We are trusting that the God who promises to equip us for every good work will enable in this transition and give us the ability to continue to minister effectively. We are still asking God that the ministry will grow during this time. We count on your prayers to help us do just that.

Prayers are also appreciated as we head into our two biggest events every year: Converge April 6-7 and Bootcamp June 4-9. God has moved mightily at both of these events in past years, and we can’t wait to see what He does this year!

We are praying, and hope you will join us, that God will bring the students He wants to attend, and that their hearts will be attuned to the work God wants to do in them. This is why we put the time and effort into both Converge and Bootcamp—to see God transform teens’ lives—and He never fails to blow us away.

With the move, Converge, and Bootcamp all coming up in the next months, please pray that in the midst of this very busy season that God’s hand will still be upon us and that we will continue to look to Him for our daily needs and strength. When we get busy, it is so easy for us to start to lean on our own strength and wisdom, but that is not what we want during this important time in the ministry. We want to continue to lean completely on God and the power of His Son, Jesus Christ. We want God to get the glory, and for people to know it is not us, but God, that is doing the work.

Please be in prayer for our chapters and the chapter leaders. Pray for the hearts of the teens, and wisdom for our leaders as they minister in sometimes complicated situations. We are praising God for the salvations we continue to see each week at these chapter meetings.

We are also very excited about the continued explosive growth our international brothers and sisters are seeing. However, please be in prayer with us for God to meet the financial needs for more resources. Many of our international teams need to hire more staff but are lacking funds with which to do so, and their ability to minister is being limited. We know that God is more than able to do more than we can think to ask, and we are trusting in Him to continue to provide and grow our ministries both here, and globally according to His plan and His timetable.

As I close for this month, I just want to thank you again for your faithfulness to pray for this ministry. Without people like you, we wouldn’t exist. It is only through the fervent prayers of God’s people that ministry happens at all.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.

Thank you again for your prayers!

In Him,

Buck Sutton
